16 x 7 Garage Door Cost San Diego, California
If you’re looking to buy a new garage door for your San Diego area home, you’ve probably got a few questions, which we’re more than happy to answer.
- What type of garage door is best for my home?
- How much will it actually cost to replace my current 16 x 7 garage door in the San Diego area?
- How much will it cost to maintain my garage door every year?
We started installing garage doors in 1989 and today we meet with thousands of Southern California homeowners a year to discuss their repair and replacement options. Over the years, and after performing installations and repairs, we’ve developed a solid perspective on the costs and challenges of buying a new garage door. We’ve helped many homeowners like you through each of the steps involved in buying a new door. A garage door can be more complicated than you’d think, but we strive to make everything as approachable and understandable.
With that all said, let’s get to it.
Which type of garage door is best for my home?
We don’t always recommend a specific type of garage door because you and your home are unique. Also, because San Diego has great weather throughout the year, all of the materials available to you might make sense.
Steel garage doors are limited to the sizes and designs established by the manufacturer. While garage door manufacturers have a good feel for trending design styles, you probably won’t be able to turn in a hand-drawn design and get an exact replica. If you’re looking for a personalized garage door, your needs may be best-served by a wooden garage door.
While we are big fans of steel garage doors for their cost and lower cost of ownership (less maintenance), we know that some of you are willing to trade lower lifetime ownership costs for greater customization options – there aren’t many elliptical 24 gauge steel garage doors, but you can definitely get one made of wood.
We want you to make an informed decision when you buy your garage door. That’s why we actively share the knowledge we’ve garnered over the past 25+ years in business.
